We are looking for a Graphic designer to work for a mobile communications company in Cambridge.

Job Description:

• The role is to develop interactive graphical applications for the next generation of mobile devices. These will challenge the designer to make the best use of limited display size and technical constraints of any given platform.
• The candidate has to believe in mobile communications & have a flair for design.
• The candidate needs to be innovative and want a challenge in a fast moving organisation. Making the finest and most complex page designs look as good (if not better !) on a 176 X 220 pixel screen instead of 1024 X 768 and using a 256 instead of a 65,536 colour palette, whilst retaining an intuitive, elegant user interface design.
• Within a short time, assume a lead role within the mobile media design activity

Skills Required:

• IT - education (Polytechnical institute, University)
• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years commercial experience (ideally 3-5 years) & the following skills: Graphic Design Flair; Software Ergonomics; Human Factors Training; User interface Design; HCI Skills; Multimedia presentation; Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash; Graphical applications such as Adobe Premier or similar video editing software; Dreamweaver; Preferred Experience: HTML, Audio manipulation , Java Script , Perl
